Venice, the city with no cars!

Sorry for the delay on posting about Venice, we had a technical difficulty with our hotel internet.  They charged us 20 Euro for 2 hours of internet.  In Rome we have free internet, Yeah!

I hoped you enjoyed Jason's blog about our last day in Germany.  Like Jason said, we took a night train to Venice and slept in the worlds smallest room.  The bathroom also had a shower that was also the sink, that was also the toilet, take a look.

When we arrived in Venice we were greeted with this amazing view.

We hopped on a water bus to get to our hotel.  This is what people in Venice take for transportation everywhere.  They were pretty crowded at times.

We then went to our hotel and were told we could not check in for another 4 hours, so we dropped of our luggage and took a look around.

Note the trash in little bags on the street, this is how they put their trash out.  There are little bags everywhere.

This bridge is called Ponte de Rialto. It is the oldest bridge that crosses the canal.

We stopped into this cafe...

...where I had my first Italian Cappuccino.  It was delicious. Little did we know that when you sit down and drink your Cappuccino, you get charged more!

We wondered over to Piazza S. Marco to view this church and the amazing coast view.

Mom, while we were walking around we came across this necklace that I knew you would love...

...but then we saw the price, so enjoy the picture!

Some of the canals in Venice really stink like sewage, but who cares when they look this beautiful!

*Breaking Celebrity News* This is the hotel that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are staying in.  She is here shooting a movie.  Now, how do I know this.  Well, I am addicted to radaronline and I recognized the balcony and you can see the blue panels up so nobody can see who is coming and going. Plus, me and Brad Pitt are like best buds!

This is the view from the front of our hotel room.

This is the view out the window of our hotel room.

It happened to be our 3 year wedding anniversary when we were in Venice.  So, we decided to take a romantic Gondola Ride! I am going to get mushy on your for a second, Jason is such an amazing husband to me and I really don't know what I would do without him.  It was so wonderful to spend our anniversary in a romantic city, ok I'm done!

After the Gondola ride we got some dinner and gelato and took a few more pictures. A storm had just passed so the sky was pretty dark.

We then sat on the Ponte de Rialto bridge and watched the sunset.

We ran into some Americans who asked us to take a picture, so they took one for us too.

We started getting a little creative with the camera and took some blurred shots.

So, what do you think of Venice, pretty nice huh!

We arrived in Rome today and went to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.  I have to admit though, we are like zombies today, so we are taking an easy tonight and touring the Vatican tomorrow. So far, Rome is not my favorite city.  It is absolutely crazy, cars, buses, mopeds, bikes, people everywhere. I will post a more detailed blog about Rome tomorrow.

Until then, love you guys and thanks for following along, it's so nice to hear from home!
